About :
Rebecca Mayo is currently enrolled as a PhD
candidate at the ANU School of Art in Canberra. She is a recipient of an
Australian Postgraduate Award.
Through performance and printmaking her post-graduate
research will examine anthropogenic restoration and degradation as performed
along the Merri Creek Catchment in Melbourne’s north. Her practice will
consider grief, loss and hope and its affect as it manifests in this locus and associated
communities.
Rebecca teaches in printmaking at the RMIT
School of Art and also prints for other artists from time to time. Recent
screenprints printed by Rebecca for Melinda Harper are currently showing at Blockprojects
in Richmond.
